Milan – 2 May 2024 – Franklin Templeton¹ is pleased to announce the appointment of Giuliana Borello Ph.D. as Head of Training & Research for Italy, effective February 2024, reporting to Barry Kruse Global Head of Franklin Templeton Academy.
In this newly created role in Milan, Borello will be able to identify and meet the training needs of financial advisor networks and their management with tailor-made training programmes. Furthermore, working closely with the Franklin Templeton Institute and the Sales and Marketing team, she will be responsible for developing and sharing research content dedicated to the Italian market. This will foster an optimisation and alignment of educational initiatives, in line with the Company's Thought Leadership strategy.
Barry Kruse, Global Head of the Franklin Templeton Academy, added: “In today’s market environment, financial professionals need a more sophisticated toolbox to help their clients meet their long-term financial goals. The need for education remains very high and we are very proud having been able to attract such a high-calibre expert in Giuliana to the Franklin Academy.”

Before joining Franklin Templeton, Giuliana Borello served as a Researcher in Financial Intermediaries Economics. She holds a Ph.D. from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (2010) and obtained the National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professorship in 2017. In 2019, she served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Gothenburg.
