  • New partnerships include ETFs in the Franklin Templeton ICAV range for investors on flatex, S Broker and easybank

Frankfurt/Vienna, 7 July 2025 – Franklin Templeton1 is pleased to announce three new partnerships with German online brokers flatex2 and S Broker3 and Austria’s easybank4 to expand its distribution efforts in Germany and Austria through the brokers´ respective digital platforms. Today, investors in Germany and Austria will have the choice to trade Franklin Templeton ETFs5 at zero or minimum costs through their savings plans or with no or low fees for individual trades.

Christian Machts, Head of Germany & Austria, Franklin Templeton, commented: "Since launching our initial suite of ETFs in Germany in 2017, we’ve observed a remarkable increase in the adoption of savings plans. In fact, the number of savings plans in Germany has surged by over 500% over the past five years, according to a study by extraETF. Partnerships with online brokers are fundamental to our ongoing expansion of our ETF business strategy which is seamlessly integrated into Franklin Templeton’s overall distribution efforts.”

Martin Bechtloff, ETF Distribution for Germany and Austria, Franklin Templeton, added: “We see a vast, untapped potential for ETFs in Germany’s and Austria’s retail markets, which we believe will drive substantial growth in the coming years. Our collaborations with various brokerage platforms over the last few years have demonstrated their value as key distribution channels for our ETF offerings. Additionally, while saving plans are favoured by retail investors in Germany and Austria, our partnerships with online brokers enhance our reach and appeal to younger investors.”

Franklin Templeton’s global ETF platform enables investors to pursue their desired outcomes through a range of indexed and active ETFs. Supported by the strength and resources of one of the world’s largest asset managers, the global ETF platform has approximately $42 billion in assets under management globally as of 31 May 2025.
