Franklin Templeton Strengthens German Distribution Strategy with Appointment of Sven Langenhan as Head of Wholesale – Germany

The newly created role reinforces the firm’s growth ambitions in the German wholesale market, with a focus on expanding partnerships across the banking and advisory landscape.

Frankfurt am Main, 12 November 2025 – Franklin Templeton¹ is pleased to announce the appointment of Sven Langenhan as Head of Wholesale – Germany, effective 1 February 2026. Based in Frankfurt, Langenhan will be responsible for overseeing all retail activities and driving strategic partnerships across Germany. Langenhan will report to Christian Machts, Head of Germany and Austria.

Langenhan brings more than two decades of experience in investment management, wealth advisory, and capital markets. He joins Franklin Templeton from HRK LUNIS AG in Munich, where he currently serves as Generalbevollmächtigter & Leiter Investment Office, overseeing portfolio strategy and client advisory for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Prior to that, Langenhan spent six years at Flossbach von Storch in Cologne, where he held the role of Portfolio Director in the Fixed Income team. There, he contributed to the development of strategic bond portfolios and helped expand the firm's presence in the institutional and retail segments. He joined Flossbach von Storch in 2018 from Deutsche Bank, where he had started his career in 2002 and held various leadership roles in wealth management, most recently as Head of Investment Advisory for the Northwest region.

In addition to his professional roles, Langenhan has been a lecturer at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) – university of cooperative education – in Mannheim since 2008, sharing his expertise in portfolio theory and financial markets with the next generation of investment professionals. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the DHBW.
