Alison Baur is deputy general counsel for Franklin Templeton's US Investment Management business.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2006, Ms. Baur was a Vice President at Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. from 1999-2006, where she served in various capacities, including as the Chief Legal Officer for the Laudus Funds; the Chief Legal Officer for the Excelsior Funds; and a senior attorney supporting Schwab's International and Mutual Fund Market Place divisions. Prior to joining Schwab, Ms. Baur was Associate General Counsel at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo and Co. LLC from 1997-1999. From 1991-1997, Ms. Baur was with the Securities and Exchange Commission, first as a law clerk in the Office of the Administrative Law Judges, and then in the Division of Investment Management, where she was a Senior Counsel in the Division's Office of the Chief Counsel and a Branch Chief in the Division's Office of Investment Company Regulation.

Ms. Baur is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bar Associations. Ms. Baur is Chair of the Board of Governors of the Investment Adviser Association.
