Andrew Kandiew, CPA

Andrew Kandiew, CPA, senior managing director and chief operating officer. Mr. Kandiew joined K2 Advisors, an alternative investment firm that merged with Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions, in October 2007. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee, Investment Committee and Operating Committee.

Prior to K2 Mr. Kandiew was with Commonfund Group where he worked as treasurer and CAO for two years and as managing director in the Risk Management Department for five years. Prior to the Commonfund Group, Mr. Kandiew worked as senior auditor and then senior tax accountant at Coopers & Lybrand in Stamford; at M.D. Sass Investors Services, Inc. in New York as controller; at Vantage Global Advisors, Inc. in New York as the CFO; and then as the CFO and COO at Clariden Asset Management in New York. Mr. Kandiew has also served on the Board of Directors at Northeast DBS Management, Inc. in Williston, VT; and as president of the Asset Recovery Corporation in Wilton, CT.

Mr. Kandiew holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut, Storrs in 1984 and a master of science degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut, Storrs in 2016.
