Basit Amin, CFA

Basit Amin is a member of the Global Index Portfolio Management team at Franklin Templeton, and responsible for managing a suite of index-based strategies, including ETFs.

Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2021, Mr. Amin spent four years at Northern Trust as vice president and portfolio manager of Quantitative Index Portfolios. He managed global equity products including ETFs, mutual funds, collective funds, currency overlay and asset allocation strategies that involved emerging markets, strategic beta and thematic investing. Previously, Mr. Amin spent six years at BlackRock, most recently as a portfolio manager for US ETF portfolios

He holds a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.
