Derik is head of Private Banks for Franklin Templeton, and has led business development efforts for Legg Mason's Private Bank Channel since joining the firm in 2010.
More recently Derik oversaw U.S. Wealth Management for the predecessor organization, including Private Banks, Consultant Client Service and RIA/Bank Trust distribution.
Prior to joining Legg Mason, Derik managed the growth of Deutsche Asset Management's Private Bank Channel, and began his career at Lord Abbett. He has 18 years of industry experience.
Derik was born in McKeesport PA, and graduated from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He holds FINRA series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
