Douglas Grant is the Deputy Head of Research for Templeton Global Investments and portfolio manager for the Templeton Global Balanced Fund. He also conducts special situation equity research.
Mr. Grant entered the investment management industry in 1999 and has broad investment experience as an equity analyst and portfolio manager covering numerous sectors including Consumer Discretionary, Industrials, Healthcare, Basic Materials, and Utilities across all capitalizations and geographies. He currently serves as deputy head of research overseeing all sectors within Templeton Global Investments.
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Mr. Grant was a senior equity analyst at Sterling Capital and portfolio manager at Invesco Advisers. His investment mandates have included both core and value investment strategies which have employed long-term, bottom-up fundamental analysis. In addition to investment management experience Doug was an adjunct finance professor at University of Houston and held positions in public accounting and corporate finance.
He has a BBA in accounting from University of Georgia and an MBA from University of Texas at Austin. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
