Julian Gomez

Julian Andres Gomez is a Director, Alternative Investments, at Franklin Templeton, responsible for supporting the distribution of private market solutions—including private equity, private credit, and real estate—across the global wealth channel in EMEA, Latin America, and U.S. offshore markets. With nearly 20 years of experience in investment distribution, Julian has worked across both traditional and alternative asset classes, helping financial advisors, private banks, and wealth managers access institutional-quality strategies tailored to their clients’ needs.

Prior to his current role, Julian led distribution efforts for Franklin Templeton’s hedge fund advisory platform, K2 Advisors, across EMEA (excluding the UK), Latin America, and U.S. offshore. In this capacity, he supported the expansion of hedge fund and liquid alternative strategies within the wealth segment, collaborating with clients across multiple jurisdictions. Earlier in his career at Franklin Templeton, he held client-facing sales roles based in Miami, covering the U.S. offshore market as well as clients in the Caribbean and Bermuda. Before joining Franklin Templeton, Julian worked at BlackRock—first in New York, where he supported international sales efforts in the Northeast U.S. and Latin America, and later in Miami as a portfolio specialist within the SMA Group. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in New York as part of the firm’s analyst program.

Originally from Colombia and raised in the United States, Julian now resides in Madrid. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The College of New Jersey and brings a strong cross-border perspective to his work across the global wealth landscape.
