Les Kratter

Les Kratter is a senior vice president of Franklin Resources, Inc. He is responsible for General Services including corporate insurance risk management, real estate, aviation operations and legal coordination areas of mergers and acquisitions. He is a member of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and co-chairs the Business Recovery Governance Committee. Mr. Kratter consults with the corporate secretary of Franklin Resources, Inc. (FRI) on a regular basis, and attends all FRI Board and most Committee meetings. Mr. Kratter previously served as corporate secretary.

Before joining Franklin Templeton Investments in 1992, Mr. Kratter was the executive vice president and general counsel for a privately held service company involved in aviation, chinaware, traffic control and the macadamia nut industry. Previously, he had been a trial attorney for the Division of Enforcement of the SEC and had privately practiced law.

Mr. Kratter earned his B.A. in drama from Stanford University with a minor in English and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School with the Order of the Coif.
