Mark Lavan

Senior Strategic Relationship Manager

Mark is a senior strategic relationship manager at Franklin Templeton, responsible for Enterprise Relationship Management across wirehouse, regional bank and independent firms. In this role, Mark is responsible for setting up and driving Franklin Templeton's strategic growth initiatives across the US Wealth Business,and demonstrate why Franklin Templeton is the partner of choice across the intermediary channel.

Prior to this role, Mark was Head of Field Sales for the Wirehouse Channel responsible for leading Franklin Templeton sales and strategy at the wirehouse firms. Additionally, Mark was a Managing Director of Legg Mason Investor Services, LLC. He was responsible for U.S. Sales and the strategic efforts of the Retail Intermediary Field Sales Team focused on the distribution of Legg Mason's investment solutions to wirehouse, regional and independent financial advisors nationally. Mark also managed the Retail National Account research and relationship management teams.

Mark brings over 20 years of investment industry experience. Before joining Legg Mason, Mark managed a Product Specialist Desk at Merrill Lynch, working closely with financial advisors supporting portfolio development across managed account platforms. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he held a position at Lord Abbett as a Portfolio Specialist. Mark began his career with TD Ameritrade.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Rhode Island and has a Masters of Business Administration from Fordham University. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses. Mark currently resides in New Jersey with his wife, Erinn and their three children, Daniel, Kate and Declan. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
