Sam Cottrell, CFA

Sam Cottrell is a Portfolio Manager on the Global Long-Term Unconstrained team at Franklin Equity. He is responsible for fundamental research and portfolio management across the strategies.

Mr. Cottrell joined Franklin Equity (formerly Martin Currie) in 2014 and became part of the Global Long-Term Unconstrained strategy in 2015. He was appointed Portfolio Manager in 2020, following several years as a healthcare research analyst.

He holds an MSc in Financial Engineering and Risk from Imperial College London and a B.A. (Hons) in Finance, Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
