Sanjay Sapre

Sanjay Sapre is a senior vice president with Franklin Templeton Strategic Ventures, focused on driving global end consumer initiatives and capabilities for the firm. He continues to be a member of the Board of the firm's asset management business in India.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Sapre served as President of Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Private Limited, responsible for leading Franklin Templeton's business in India from 2016 - 2022. During this time, he was also a member of the Board of the Association of Mutual Funds in India and led the Operations and Compliance Committee for the industry. Mr. Sapre was previously a Senior Vice President responsible for leading the Asia Pacific based Client Service and Operations teams within the Global Transfer Agency for Franklin Templeton. During this time, he led a number of strategic projects for the division.

He joined Franklin Templeton in 2001 after several years with Thomas Cook (India) Limited, and Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc.

Mr. Sapre holds a business degree from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, as well as a Master's of Business Administration from Ohio University.
