William Guy DeWald, CFA

William (Guy) DeWald is Vice President / Portfolio Construction in Franklin Templeton's Global Product Strategy group. Mr. DeWald assists advisors with Portfolio Construction techniques, risk decomposition and iterative modeling of portfolios based on historical or regime analysis.

Mr. DeWald has been associated with Franklin Templeton Investments since 1996. He started with Franklin Templeton in inbound sales where he was a phone representative and training supervisor. He participated in the futures associate program, where he rotated through various departments in St. Petersburg and in 2002 began working with institutional and high net worth clients on the east coast of the United States. Mr. DeWald was VP/Regional Director for the west coast RIA division at Franklin Templeton from 2013-2016 and joined the portfolio construction team in February 2016.

Mr. DeWald received his B.A. degree in international business from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. He holds series 6 and 7 FINRA licenses, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the San Francisco society of Financial Analysts.
