Yong Bae (YB) Jeon is chief executive officer and president at Franklin Templeton Investment Trust Management Co. Ltd Korea (FTITMC). In his capacity
he is responsible for sales and marketing activities and all local business in FTITMC. Established in 1997 as a joint venture asset management company, Franklin Templeton became the first 100% foreign-owned asset management firm in Korea in July 2000. The Korean business has built domestic asset management capability in equities and fixed income, and offers the full range of Franklin Templeton's global investment solutions through onshore and offshore products to individual and institutional investors.
Mr. Jeon joined the FTITMC in 2001 as a director of institutional sales and served as a director of international sales to direct retail sales as well as institutional sales from 2005. Mr. Jeon managed sales channel for mutual fund distributions and institutional mandates in the firm for 9 years.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jeon spent 11 years at Salomon Smith Barney Securities and Ssangyong Securities in South Korea and United Kingdom, and was responsible for Korean Equities Sales to institutional investors in Asia and Europe. Prior to that, he worked at Citi Bank within the credit analysis and FX trading group for five years.
